We bake every birthday cake to order in our Amsterdam bakery, with the same family recipes since 2003. The chocolate cake comes layered with our own Argentine dulce de leche, and we write the birthday message on top before it leaves the counter.

In Argentina, a birthday is not a birthday without dulce de leche
Our founder grew up with the Argentine tradition that no birthday table is complete without a cake layered in dulce de leche. That is the story behind our chocolate birthday cake, filled with our own dulce de leche in the middle of Amsterdam.

How do I order a birthday cake in Amsterdam?
Order online on the cake's page: choose the size, add your message, and pick a date with a morning or afternoon pickup. You pay online and collect the cake at Melly's Cookiebar, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 137 in central Amsterdam.
Can I order a birthday cake for today?
Usually yes. Every cake is baked fresh to order, and if you order a couple of hours before your pickup slot we can often have it ready the same day. You can also order up to two months ahead.
Can you write a name or message on the cake?
Yes. We write your message on the cake by hand, up to 20 characters, for a small extra charge shown when you order. A name and an age fit perfectly.
Which size do I need?
The chocolate cake with dulce de leche comes in two sizes, for 8 to 10 people or for 14. The carrot cake and the lemon and blueberry cake complete the table, and for a bigger party you can simply order more than one cake.
Do you deliver birthday cakes?
Our cakes are pickup only, freshly baked at our shop in central Amsterdam. For treats we ship, see the cookies, alfajores and gift boxes in the webshop.
